We Were Here Together bibbert in oktober naar je PC!

Rotterdam is een prachtstad in ons kikkerlandje. Het Eurovisie Songfestival wordt er volgend jaar gehouden, de meeste GamerGeeks komen uit de regio en het is ook de thuisbasis van indie-studio Total Mayhem Games.

Zij zijn verantwoordelijk voor de We Were Here-serie. Puzzelgames die je met een online partner moet zien te voltooien door de juiste hints naar elkaar te communiceren. Dat klinkt zo wellicht wat makkelijk, maar is minstens net zo uitdagend als een lastige escape room. Tel daarbij op een eng sfeertje en personages met een duister verleden en je hebt een recept voor succes. De eerste We Were Here verscheen in 2017 en is gratis te downloaden op Steam, vorig jaar verscheen We Were Here Too op hetzelfde platform.

De serie vindt ook zijn weg naar de Xbox One. De eerste game is deze maand onderdeel van Xbox Games with Gold en verschijnt op 16 september. Deze is gratis op te pakken voor leden van Xbox Live Gold of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

Vandaag is aangekondigd wanneer het derde deel – We Were Here Together – gaat verschijnen op PC. Door middel van een trailer weten we nu dat we 10 oktober in de agenda moeten zetten! Verheug jij je al op deze titel?

ROTTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS – September 4, 2019 – We Were Here Together has a release date – it will be released on October 10, for PC on Steam. The latest entry in the We Were Here series is the largest game so far, starting out at the expedition base camp and taking players through a series of stunning outdoors environments leading up to a return to Castle Rock.

Can you work together with your coop partner to solve the puzzles of this digital escape room, and uncover the mysteries of Castle Rock?

Starting out at the research base camp, you’ll need to figure out a way to get to Castle Rock together. Once you’ve overcome the frozen Antarctic wastes, you’ll find yourselves separated inside the castle itself, facing puzzles, secrets, and dangers.

The earlier games in the series have entertained more than 2,000,000 people, and We Were Here Together is the largest entry in the series so far! Don’t worry if you haven’t played the two earlier titles – each We Were Here game is standalone, so you can play them in any order. There are several innovations in We Were Here Together which will thrill returning fans and immediately grab first time visitors to the inhospitable Antarctic mystery.

• Even closer coop – you won’t always be split up from your partner this time. Explore together, swap roles in puzzles for a different perspective, it’s up to you! Just don’t get too comfortable… Castle Rock has some tricks waiting for you…

• The great Antarctic outdoors – puzzle outside Castle Rock for the first time, from the deceptively cosy expedition basecamp through imposing sub-zero valleys to breath-taking frozen caves. • Gadgets won’t save you – but they might help! Figure out how to use new equipment like torches to solve puzzles and progress towards the fateful finale.
