Nominaties Game Awards bekendgemaakt

Het zorgt ieder jaar weer voor de nodige discussie: wat is de beste game van het jaar? De nominaties voor The Game Awards zijn bekend.

Op 10 december wordt de opvolger van dé game van 2019, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, bekend. Met maar liefst 45,2 miljoen kijkers vorig jaar op allerlei platformen, kan worden gezegd dat de uitreiking leeft. De laatste jaren is de prijs gewonnen door The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild (2017), God of War (2018) en dus Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.

Verschillende media wereldwijd hebben de games genomineerd. Hieronder een lijst met alle nominaties op een rijtje in maar liefst 22 categorieën. Het is bijna dus knap om geen prijs te winnen… Hoewel historisch gezien er altijd een paar grote titels ook misgrijpen… De belangrijkste is natuurlijk dé prestigueze titel van Game of the Year.

Op 10 december worden de Awards, onder leiding van presenator en gamingveteraan Geoff Keighley uitgezonden via onder andere YouTube en Twitch. Naast de prijsuitreikingen worden er ook altijd nieuwe games aangekondigd en is er vaak ander nieuws en/of trailers te zien.
